But on the ATX. I searched. and didn't find anything. How do i do it? I removed the small screw below the O/D button, but that didn't seem to do anything. Any body even done this before?

The Over Drive Off button has wires that lead down under the shifter assembly plate (P-R-D-N-2-1). You have to remove the plate first, disconnect the lead to the button and then remove the set screw under the button and you should be able to pull the entire assembly up IIRC.

I recall replacing the one on my parents SE a while back. There is also that c-clip behind the shifter that you have to remove in order to pull the shifter off of the rod. As well as the OD button that was mentioned. Although I didn't think you had to take if odd like that. I think you can just remove the OD button off of the shifter and pull up. That OD button is what retains the assembly to the shifter. I think there should be a long piece of plastic with the wires going through it that rests in a slot inside the shifter. When you remove the buttom and the c-clip the assemble should just pull up. But then again I did this like 4 years ago so who knows.

Whatever you do, don't TUG up ... I got fed up with mine (did 2 years ago) and just tugged up out of frustration and litterly tore the OD wires. Once everything that should be disconnected is disconnected, it should just slide right up and off.
