My "new" 2.0 engine was just run-in so I decided to test it out on the 1/4 mile. It's running on a standard ECU and strugles at higher revs.

The best ET I managed was 15.508s @ 138.36km/h.

Had four runs and started with 15.8 improving the launch every time

Here's a vid of one of the runs:

The white car is a supercharged 1.8 Zetec Fiesta with 200+ horses and a time of 13.5 .

My spec:

2.0 rebuilt Zetec
Comp cams stage1
adjustable camgears
ported head
Focus ST170 (SVT) exhaust manifold heatwraped
2.25" exhaust
standard ECU
K&N panel filer
stock airbox with two cold air feeds

Awesome! That's about as good as you can do with a stock V-6. Pretty amazing for a 2.0L.

Taking out the back seats and spare wheel out did help a bit, but the airfield surface was to rough and full of dust to get decent grip in 1st gear.
Unfortunatelly we dont have any real drag strips here with a proper smooth and sticky surface.

Judging by the track. I would say the timing equipment was off.

Great Job, and nice runs. I really like the mountain scenery in the background.
I'm amazed to see the Mondeo fans that pop up from all over the world on here.
Welcome.

NOPE!

The timing equipment is from Raceamerica.com! No probs there!

But the surface for shure sucks. Rough surface, loose stones and dirt. The surface is more or less level as it can be.

Its funny how they use the metric system but still use the 1320' for drag racing.
