The zetec finally made it! The big 100K. I couldn't resist. I pulled over and took a picture.

Congrats, always a huge milestone!!!! I agree though, it does seem to be in the high range for temp.

Fresh coolant, 160* Mustang T-stat, and two bottles of water-wetter will do wonders for that.

Sweet! I hope to reach 100K someday. I just broke 81K and still running really strong (knocking on wood). These little zetecs just keep going and going.

You have a 7 year old Zetec (assuming original engine). If you haven't changed the timing belt with a nice timing belt KIT from Gates, you might want to consider it as a needed maintenance item between now & Thanksgiving. I'll bet money that your original belt will be slightly brittle & cracking from age. This is not super urgent, just something for you to consider & keep your experience with the Contour a very positive one...
