Alrighty, i got Trubendz exhaust on my car, and basically it leaks like a mother cause trubendz dosent know how to tset fit a pipe to make sure the OPENING ISNT TO BIG. anyways, the U-Clamps dont do anything no matter how much i tighten them they are still loose and i can pull the other tube out..
So i got to thinking of welding the whole system up, but im cheap and want to try something else; What about getting some JB weld and lining the inside of the pipe, then installing the other pipe and clamping it all down, that should fill all the small gap left from the pipe, and then ill just do a line of JB weld along the edge to make sure it seals.
Any idea if that will stay? ive got a feeling that the vibrations will cause the JB weld to fail and break apart.

I dont know how well JBweld will hold up, maybe a very high temp rubbery glue stuff?? you should still see how much it would cost to weld, might be less agervation in the end to just pay a little bit more then JBweld or other glue stuff to have it done right the first time.

Most shops are quoting me like 10-20 bucks a weld.. at 5 welds.. thats 50-100 bucks.
One tube of JB weld=7 bucks.
It was just an idea, i mean if it works why not. If its not going to work then why bother.
Ive never used the stuff so just asking if the properties will hold up on an exhaust.

Did you try talking to Trubendz about your problem? It seem s to me like Trubendz is either hit or miss. My pipes fit together perfectly (I even had to take a file to remove burrs to get them to slide together) The only problem I encountered was to get the tips centered in the rear cutouts, I had to bend a hanger.
Edit-
If you don't want to go through the hassle of sending/waiting for a new kit...why don't you just RENT a pipe expander from autozone or where ever? The pipe that is too small, expand it a little so it fits more snug into the bigger pipe.
Using Jb weld could be a disaster. IF it holds up, if you miss a spot or it gets thin in a spot and exhaust can go through, you wont be able to get the pipe out to re-do it. That will create a whole new list of problems.

werd, trubendz is teh suck.. my tips suck ass as being alligned, even bending the hangers wont do anything cause it moves the other tip back. My one tip is like 1"- 1 1/2" farther out than the other.
Its been like 4 months and i havent driven my car much so it hasent bothered me, but track days are coming up and i need to fix this.
So you can rent pipe expanders huh... hmm

That sucks, I'd go weld it because JB wont' hold up. It wont even hold up on the tiniest leak I have and it's 1 hairline, I need to replace it monthly, I can't get mine welded because it's the center res of the bosal, just the rolled steel separated on impact the tiniest bit, not bad at all. Get it welded and smile at the results, or sell it and by a flange fit bosal

IT shouldn't cost more than $50 to get the whole thing welded. Find a shop that isn't run by a bunch of muppets/crooks.
