I recently installed an MSDS y-pipe on my '99 svt and there is an exhaust leak where the y-pipe connects to the cat. I have tried both the old donut gasket and the new one with no success. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

I'm in the same boat, Im still getting a leak from around that gasket too... Brand new. Its a pin sized leak, nothing too loud just extremely annoying, especially in the cabin.

TH says...
....donut seal. The flange side on the cat should be cleaned with emery cloth until its bright....clean the flange the seal sits on before fitting it(wire brush)...before fitting the seal use LOTS of copper anti-sieze on the seal..but only on the spherical side that mates onto the cat flange...brush it well in....put some on the now clean cat flange and bolt up...ALWAYS use the springs and correct fittings...the seal MUST move as the engine/trans rolls...if not it will 1)crack the new seal 2)crack weld in the system 3)Hellish NVH noise....

Well i just finished trying what was recommended; cleaning the flanges and using anti seize with no luck. The exhaust leak is still there. Would applying an exhaust sealant prevent the pipes from being able to flex like they need to? Thanks
