do you guys think I should consider trading my 98 SE t-red tour with 47k for a CSVT with 100+k? I don't know the feeling of driving a SVT.. but I know my car would last for atleast another 50k before anything major would need to be done.. it might be easier to mod some of my stuff than worry about an older car.. what do you guys think?

Do you know the history of the SVT? Has it been cared for well, regular oil changes, not thrashed on, etc.? Is it way over 100k miles or just over?

Or you could run your 98 SE until it dies, then drop in a limited slip diff and a 3L and you'll have better than what SVT produced.

I concur. I bought my svt with ~125k miles on it and it would suck if it was my only car. Tranny trouble (knew about it when buying), o2 sensor, iac valve (somehow made the car not start), and more. That's just within a couple months of owning it and maybe 1500 miles. If you want to mod a contour, just do a 3L in your's. If you want a svt, wait till you find a deal on one that needs some work and don't use it as a daily driver; of course do a 3L swap in it as well. And I too need to quit spending money on paintball.
