Looks like it's from a Contour, probably a 2000 model. The power is okay, but that engine is more buzzy, whereas the earlier silvertops were more thrashy. I prefer thrashy.

Shes going In my 98MTX EscortZX2. Im dropping the exaust manifold and putting my "JBA" header back on I also have SVT fuel pump and some other goodies to slap on. I hope to have her back before thid tuesday night.

You know what I'd love to see? A carbureted Zetec like the brits do in their kit cars. Supposedly you can tune a carbureted Z to around 200 horsepower. I don't think anyone has done it on here yet.... Be the First!!!

Yeah Burton Power has some real nasty Omex and Alpha kits available for the Zetec E (our Zetec). The price was expensive in British pounds, and I was hoping that the U.S. dollar would have a nice exchange rate...it doesn't I hear its one of the best ways to get real power gains out of an N/A Zetec.

Yep. Carburetion, Cams, and long tube headers will put you right about where a stock SVT is... but MUCH COOLER.

just a carb kit should put a zetec on par with SVT's (thats 200bhp with a carb kit) cammed and header would probaly outperform it pretty well.
