Can't comment on the others, but I had a set of Kumho MX's on the car and more recently replaced them with the Avon M500's. The Kumho's were decent, very sticky. The Avons were slightly less sticky, but were ALOT more solid in the corners and a little better in the rain. Between those two, I would definately choose the Avons.

Not true. Dayton Daytona ZR is alive and well. Many tire shops have spread this misinformation. I just bought a set and they are revised compaired to the set I took off.

Huh, interesting. I wonder if they told the shops that, and then decided to keep both brands? I was told by the owner of a franchise location who seemed to know his stuff. Thanks for the facts!

Falken RT-615

Hankook Ventus R-S2 Z212

Best 2 performance tires out there... unless you wanna spend 200 bucks a tire and buy R compounds.

The new Bridestone RE-01R and Yokohama AD07 are faster and have better street manners than the Falkens and Hankooks. They're not as good price-wise, but they're pretty sick tires.

right now I am leaning towards the falken RT's or buying some 17inch Rota's and jumping on the eagle tires that are for sale.

My only problem is my girlfriend is watching me like a hawk. She is overdue for an engagement ring, and all unnecessary purchases are being scrutinized. It would be hard to say "I can't afford a ring yet" when I spend money on new wheels.

I was so close to getting the rims.....and then I pulled out the calculator. Close to $1000 for rims and eagle f1's. $350 for just tires. I think I will stick with my E1's for a little while longer.
