When we found out it was decided that SZ07 will be in Grand Rapids, the Wisconsin CEGers started discussing the possibility of crossing the lake to get there. Todd suggested clueing the MN CEGers in, but of course this is open to everyone here heading east. It won't be cheap and may not save much time, but you'll be able to avoid Chicago traffic as well as have a nice scenic trip with plenty of photo ops. LinkAs I stated, this is just preliminary, and we won't finalize anything until we're much closer to next year's event.

I grew up in that territory, had a tire blow out on my SVT at 3100 miles when driving on US2 east of Watersmeet.
That mitt is bigger than it looks. I mapquested it, it is about 150 miles longer. I just HATE Chicago.
