I have finally joined the 3L club . So far everything is going well, the car is idling like a stock SVT which is good. I must say it pulls nicely compared to the SVT engine. Right now I have put a 132miles on the new clutch and the engine and well I couldn't resist I opened it up and wouldn't ya know as soon as I did I got a CEL (ended up being the front O2 Sensor). The only problem that I'm really having right now is that 2nd gear and Reverse only want to work when they feel like it. When 2nd does work I have to hold it there for about 1.5 seconds then it will engage otherwise it just pops into neutral. In regards to reverse same thing I will put into reverse and it goes fine, then the next time I go to put it in reverse it wont engage. 4th gear seems unaffected.

Once the clutch is broken in I will be installing my VCN 2000 kit and getting a tune. Should I be getting areading from my XCAL2 now and send off the information to am SCT Dealer to get a tune sent to me?

Congratulations.

I suspect that you need to adjust the shift cables. After replacing a cable end I had nearly the same issue but with 1st gear until I finally dialed in the adjustment. Don't ask me if I had to lengthen or shorten the cable, but it sounds like you need to do the opposite.

Thanks Jim,

I guess it's back to adjsuting. I was talking to the guy helping me with the car and he is thinking to thinking the cables hanging up/not actuating the arms. I can put it in gear easily at the trans. It's getting the motion of the cables to do the same thing. If they can't be adjusted anymore I think I will be investing in cables .
