Started up the turbo project Contour yesterday. Started up no problem whatsoever. Pretty uneventfull. Now I just need to break in the clutch/engine and finish the turbo project while that is occuring. I will post up some video of startup ... no exhaust ... straight out of the headers

What is the basis of your project again? Custom turbo tour, yanked the TC kit and returned it to stock? Then there is a project cougar? But your selling some stuff? Fill me in

Congrates BTW, nothing better then firing for the first time and NO issues.

I offer PnP Heads for all durtec's details at PnPheads.com or jesse@pnpheads.com for details.

Chronology of my current situation:

1) Bought a "project" cougar and began saving money and buying parts here & there for a full race build. Not to be street driven very often and intended for like 80% track time.
2) Decided to go "turbo" and began saving for the turbo kit
3) Decided to be "cheap" and started to look for a turbo'd CDW-27.
4) Found the current Contour (a huge mistake on my part financially) and thought that I would transfer the turbo kit to the Cougar and sell the Contour stock. Engine was blown and the turbo it was a total hack job. Follow the thread here: My "Saga" thread
5) Decided to drop in a refreshed 3.0L + LSD for turbo kit development.
6) Wife and I decided to put our son through private school when the time comes, so this car and the project cougar are being sold. I started with the Cougar since it's already parted out and nothing had begun yet.

I plan on finishing this car and following through on the turbo kit.

While the clutch/engine is being broken it, I will finish the turbo kit and look into getting it duplicated. One small step at a time is all I can handle on this project now as work has me slammed ... matter of fact, I'm typing this from work and will be here for another 2 hours easily. 12-14 hr. days this week

Wow! Sad tale. I was hoping to see the turbo cougar beast.

Either way, good luck on the turbo tour. Let her drive it once its done and see how fun it is then maybe she'll let you keep it. Just having it gone makes me weep some times, you'll know what I mean.
