Just a couple quick questions for those who have dampened their trunk. What are the black push buttons on the bottom of the trunk? Do you just lay the material over it? How about the vents on each side of the trunk and in through the rear deck? The idea is to seal everything up right? Especially when you're putting in a free-air sub? Thanks guys.

Thanks for the reply. So you duct taped everything? Did you take the plastic inserts out? And on top of the rear deck, you covered those vents too? Isn't there a reason those vents are there? Any negative effects to covering all the vents to seal the trunk? Any input is appreciated, thanks. OH, and what are those black push buttons on the bottom of the trunk for?

The reason for all the vents is so when you close the trunk, the air has a place to escape through.

It is to release pressure.. but not just for when you close your trunk, its for when your close your doors as well. But most importantly its for air to escape when you turn on your heat and a/c.. I wouldn't seal it up. Otherwise your going to be trapped in your own farts unless you open a window..

This should be fine for you (as everybody loves their own perfume) but not so nice for your passengers!

LOL, thanks Brent, luckily my farts smell like cheesy popcorn. In all seriousness, so don't seal up the vents from the rear deck into the trunk either? And what about those black little button things under the trunk carpet? are those in any way important? The best way I can explain them is it's like a black circle that looks like it would pump air in to something when you push the button down.
