I searched and.... nothing. What all fuel injectors/rail are interchangable to fit a pre '98 silvertop?

What are you trying to do? Upgrade? Or just replace old stock parts?

You can use any regular Focus fuel rail. BUT you will have to hook up an external fuel pressure regulator. (All Focus Zetec's are a non-return style system.)

Any high-impedance Focus Zetec injectors will work. If you go to bigger injectors, you need to reprogram your PCM. If you don't you will run very rich and eventually throw a CEL. BTW, CFM has very good prices.

There has been much debate on the stock injector size. Most people say either 16lb/hr or 19lb/hr. I was just looking at some pictures of my stock injectors and they have a 20 stamped in the side. This leads me to believe that they are 20lb/hr. That proves the calculations in my previous thread.

I had my stockers, cleaned/flow benched, and blueprinted by RC engineering a few years ago: 16.4lbs/hr average.

I have come to the conclusion that Pre98's run 16lb injectors and Post98's run 17lb injectors.
This is because Pre98s have a return style fuel system and operate on a higher PSI than Post98's with the returnless fuel system.
It wouldn't make any sense for Ford to run a higher pulse width on the injectors, so PSI is the only other option for delivering more fuel with smaller injectors.

I'm surprized that Ford runs them soo close to maxxing out. ((16.4*4)/0.45)*.90=131.2 crank HP

Not much room for expansion. Makes me wonder what my AFR looks like.

I ran fine with stock injectors with my supercharger at 4-5 psi.

What did your AFR look like?

I'm guessing that you were running your injectors wide open at the top end.

(17*4)/.45=151.1 crank HP

Something isn't adding up. With drivetrain loss you'd be looking at 120WHP.

When did you switch to 42's?

I wonder if the 98+ Contour's can really bump the fuel pump voltage to avoid a lean situation. BUT... You'd be at WOT, open loop, so it wouldn't be reading your O2 sensors at that point.

I've read that the Focus has 19 lb injectors....why would the Focus have 19s and the Contour of the same year would have 17s......something doesn't add up.

My A/F couldn't have been bad or the engine would have been in pieces.

BTW I swapped in the 42#s, Mustang GT MAF, 2.6 pulley, and chip all at the same time.
