yeah so i knew something was up with this clutch, but after driving it today i know its bad. i can pretty much feather the clutch, or a few times, no clutch at all to change gears. its becoming a pain to hold my foot at the very top of pedal travel to get a good quick engage. if not it will jerk very hard and normally id be rolling backwards a bit. so im fed up with trying to find that perfect spot way up, so im replacing it.
now what im looking for is just the pressure plate and clutch disc. it has a brand new slave/throw out in there, so i dont see the reason to pay another $80 or whatever for it. im guessing i really have no choice being that vato zone (as we like to call it) is the only place ive found where i can get it seperate other then clutchnet. but im leary on using that vato zone clutch, id rather get the valeo or luk.
just looking for clutch options, and "performance" upgrades may consist of an intake and exhaust if i feel like it (definitely muffler goes, i cant stand that HUGE-understatement- muffler my cousin put on) so i really only need a stock replacement or if there is a good performance clutch cheap i may get it. one last thing is, did the clutch change in 98 or whenever? i was looking around and found plenty of clutches for 2.0 cougars and was wondering if they were similar.
