The fence isn't necissarily a physical obsticle as much as it's a pyschological obsticle. Think about it. You've been running for 4 days avoiding MinuteMen and border patrol, you're tired and hungry, THEN you come to a huge fence. If that was me, I'd say time to turn back around.

Shouldn't they put the fence at the border? Meaning you would see the fence before you see minutemen and border patrol.

I'd say if I was that dedicated to have run for 4 days straight, that I'd hop my Mexican arse over that fence anyway!

Also, it's just 370 miles. And it's not like it's hidden or something. They'll just cross somewhere else. There's another 1500 miles of unfenced border to choose from.

I wasn't quite thinking about placement of the obsticles as much as I was thinking about the idea itself. So sorry about that.
