Just yesterday I took my car in to get the clutch changed and today the mechanic called and said the flywheel needed turned. What is up with that do these stock flywheels warp or something?

By turning, he probably means resurfacing ... No different than turning your break rotors when you get new pads ... the clutch needs to be worked into a new surface, not one that is already worn.

Yep, it should ALWAYS be resurfaced during a clutch swap. Should only cost $30 to get resurfaced.
