I can't find the pic but I remember someone on the forum who closed up the opening on the right side and widened the left a bit for his exhaust to pass. IMHO it looked great.  Maybe someone has the pic?

Just my opinion, but that doesn't SOUND like it would look great. Thats just me, though.

I remember that, it was someone up in the northeast i think. he turned the rear to a single exhaust, and i agree it didnt look to bad, but it looks more at home with duals.

I think you should widen BOTH sides, then run duals w/ the dual tips on each side.
