How much do a set of these go for usually.... and are all years interchangable?

I believe mine were around $20 each from Bill. They were an absolute [censored] to change!

The threads become rusty and the locking nut has a hard time over coming it.

Terry says...
...rod ends NOT all the same. The angle of taper on the
later rod ends changed. Need to specify exact model
year when you buy....unless you want to change the knuckles.

Although not as bad as a rusty northern car, even changing them on a south georgia car requires some muscle.

Maybe work out some more!

I had Zero problems changing them on my 98 SVT and no problems changing them on my 92 SHO last year. Both cars are from MI/WI.

DAMN IT! I got my knuckle from someone and he said they were interchangable for all years.... WRONG! So I have a post98 knuckle on my pre98 and have hella play in that wheel. Sooo do I order a '95 tie rod end for my old knuckle and a post98 tie rod end for my new knuckle?

This is rediculous.....

I didn't exactly have problems, but like I said, it takes some muscle. Took enough force that when it did break lose, my hand flew and hit the fender or something (and no it didn't hurt me).

Did it occur to you that maybe your's didn't happen to be as tight?
