I now have about 130K on it. It was purchased from the dealer I worked at the time, Sentry South L/M in Dorchester, MA. It was a lease return from a 67 year old lady. The thing was mint. It got a whole new tranny and clutch because one of the lot attendents did no know how to drive a MTX. We don't get much of them at a L/M store
The thing still runs like a top, except for a small exhaust look on the bank 1 exhaust manifold, will be repaired soon.
If there is a way I can find out using fmcdealer.com (dealer only site) I will try to find it.
I've been told that a black on tan V6 MTX Mystique is rare. I bet I'm the only 96 3L MTX Mystique, maybe the fastest? If a Mystique can pull on modded 6 speed G35 coupes, GMC Cyclones, HARD on WRXs and Civics with H22s etc. does that make it one of the fastest?
Oh and for another record, I just blew my diff on a PRE98 heh so yeah they break too, not just the 98+ models. Got a new tranny and a Torsen T2 is in transit. I got a good year out stock diff, I recently put on a set of 17" Ford Racing rims and Toyo T1-S tires so I think that's what finished it. I'll post pictures of the carnage in the pics/vids area once I tear into the old tranny out of curiosity.
A pre98 Mystique makes a great sleeper, even with a stock 2.5L and a MTX.

That is pretty rare. Now that I think about it, I don't think I've ever seen a Pre-98 Mystique in black.
But pull on a G35? Come on! Just a 3L without a turbo or SC is not going to be THAT fast. I'm callin BS.
