1995 LX, K&N, suspension, poly rear mount. 205/55R16 Kumho MXs @ 25 psi. 3100lbs w/driver.

60' - 2.368
1/8 - 10.115 @ 70.25
1/4 - 15.720 @ 86.48

I ran 15.771 my first time ever, with a 2.344 60'. I had a bunch of 15.7xx, 15.8xx, 15.9xx runs, and a couple 16.0xx where I tried something that didn't work. I trapped 85-88.5, with no real correllation to ET. 60' times were mostly 2.34-2.37 when I nailed it, low 2.4xx when I messed up. This is supposed to be a lousy track, and people were telling me I'd have 2.2xx 60' times elsewhere, maybe even a 2.1xx. My R/Ts were mostly .0xx and .1xx, with a couple .2xx.

Thoughts: I was finishing in third. With these 25" OD tires, I run out right at the end. I had just enough time to shift at the line, so I usually let it bang once or twice. Lighter, smaller wheels/tires should be good for a better time and trap speed, thanks to the gearing and weight.

Bracket racing was cool. It wasn a W-body meet, and I beat a N/A Regal 3800 almost heads up: he got me on the line, with a .2 headstart, and I pulled him in. Unfortunetally, I'd dialed a 15.8, and pulled a 15.72. I still made it through the first two rounds, which was fun.

i still think that is freakin' weird that a lot of the early year SE/LX's run faster then a bunch of SVT's. Maybe my car isn't that much less then a SVT after all.

A SVT runs a low 15, around 15.3/15.4... and supposedly some have done a bit better. If a SVT runs slower than that, it's not really the car but the driver.

The reason standard duratec's keep up with some SVT's is because it's alot easier to get the standard v6 out of the hole, and into the powerband. Thanks to all the torque. My best time in my SVT is a 15.9 at 89 mph. That trap speed is quit a bit higher than it should be for a 15.9.Attributed my poor driving skills.

And I am guessing that from a roll the SVT will eat up a standard duratec.
