Putting the filter itsself into the fender? I know what you are all thinking and yes I know... cut up fingers, but I think I may just try it, what does everyone else think?

It's fine if you plan on vacumning every street you run on. I was going to try this on my wife's ZX2 but a 4" intake into the fender was enough. That sucks up plenty of dust mounted high.

I think you guys might have it a little confused, I mean a filter going into the Stock hole from the intake andinside the driver side fender, not the front bumper.

That's what I was going to do with my first CAI design. I found out that trying to run a 3" pipe through the stock location would have required WAY too much hacking and cutting. I ended up relocating my battery and putting a hole below the stock fusebox location.

This got me the coolest air. My new design is straighter and more free flowing but the air is a bit warmer.
