Hi everyone! I've been around browsing this forum for a while, but now I have a '98 CSVT... it used to belong to a past member from Chicopee, MA ...his name is Mike Lareau.

I am also a NECO member, and have been for 3 years, you can check me out over there, and my Cougardb site and whatnot.

All I can say is I Love my SVT!! It is so much fun to drive!

Also if some of you are available on MAY 21, I am hosting a mod-meet from 10 AM - 10 PM... The Thread is in the Mass/Conn section of newcougar.org

See ya around!

Yeah, I realized that SZ was that weekend after I posted this, but for anyone not attending SZ, you are more than welcome to come by!

As far as the CSVT goes, I just bought it 2 months ago, and it had a spun rod bearing @ 103,500 miles on her. Owner hasn't been able to fix it for nearly 2 years, and just couldn't deal with it anymore, so I jumped at the chance to own her! It already has Konis w/ eibachs, and a K&N filter.
Also, a B&M short shifter, Audi sidemarker lights, Hightower sunroof mod, and some red neons under the dashboard... It had Konig Tantrums (17") when I got it, but tires were bald, so I put my gunmetal 5-spokers from my Cougar on her, and it doesn't look too bad:) And a DMD, that apparently was installed at a meet with a few others who had to install one as well...

It is a silver frost w/ midnight blue interior, and I'll get the build number soon from the certificate that is down in my basement...

I don't intend on doing too much to her as far as mods, because it is my daily driver now, cause the Cougar is getting a complete overhaul and will be my Project vehicle...

The motor that is in the CSVT is actually the stock Cougar motor with SVT cams,UIM, LIM, injectors, TB, and everything... Since I have a SVT motor going in the Cougar, I didn't need the stock one and was going to sell it, but when this CSVT was available, I knew I could swap the Cougar's stock motor in with the SVT parts and be good to go!! Not 100% original HP, but pretty darn close...but the motor only has 54,000 miles on it and its a '99...

Well, Thank you very Much!!

and so far I love the SVT... right now I have a check engine light due to a O2 sensor malfunction, and I think one of them is broken at the sensor itself, so I'll swap it out with one from my Cougar, it has MIL elims as well, so no problem there; It needs the subframe slightly re-aligned because the steerings wheel is a bit off, and there is a strange rubbing kinda noise coming from the Driver side front, so I'll be checking all of this stuff out tomorrow and we'll see what I find!!!
