Kinda sad today. We sold our 1969 VW Bus that we've had for about 10 years. I needed a new motor, and LOTS of bodywork. I just didn't have the time or $$$ to keep sinking into it. I loved it, but wanted it to go to someone who could restore it. It was cool, with a pop up top, sink, folding bed, table, the works. Plus, it had a whopping 53 HP. Ok, so it wasn't a drag king. But it had TONS of character.
A kid from Akron, OH called as soon as he saw the ad, and kept calling back every day. He sounds very excited, and seems like he'll have fun with it. He drove 4 hours round trip just to put $500 down, so noone else could get it. He's coming back this weekend with a trailer to pick it up.
Did you ever have a car (besides the Tour) that you felt very attatched to? Boy, I'll miss it, but this kids in for some fun times! Just thought I'd share.

Scott Mabe I WILL be Phil. 1999 Contour SVT, Tropic Green BAT kit, K&N RU-3530+MAF, Magnecore 8.5mm, some audio goodies, Hightowers, Knauberized, tatoo by Parkedcar.

my dad had an 81 cutlass supreme that he sold in 92. I loved that car. I cried when it drove away.

1999 Silver Frost SVT #609 of 2760 Quaife, lightened SVT Flywheel, SPEC stage II clutch, removed resonator, k&n drop in - various other goodies too.

i pretty much get attatched to all of our cars, but mostly was our 92' taurus. i grew up with that car, learned to drive, family vacations, just a lot of great memories. it wasa great car too! we traded it for an 02' taurus, and i still miss that old 92'

cars can get very attatched and almost like a part of the family

I have an '85 RX7 GSL sitting back at my moms house that desperately needs a motor rebuild, tires, and an exhaust. I seem to not want to part with the damn thing even though I don't have the money to fix it.

I call my E0 Claire. 24 hour what? I'm looking to buy a like-new condition SVT grill, and a shift knob that works with the reverse lever PM me with the details.

I'm sorry Scott. hopefully the new owner will get done all the things that you had planned for it.

I think the car I miss the most was my Jetta GLS. It was a five speed, and it had BBS wheels on it.
The one I don't miss... my Firebird, I couldn't wait to get rid of it.
