I got mine to go with my UIM, and that was the only reason.

Yea same here. Just liked the color choice. I've had good luck with FMS. Still have them on the black car. Autolite's are black.

What color choices do they have?

EDIT: Just called Advance Auto and they only carry them in black. Then again, that was the only box they had available.

You're probably right. I was just curious. I seem to be having some misfiring at low rpm's like Tony, but it clears up after around 3000 rpms. It seems like in 1st & 2nd gear, once I get to 2500 rpms, it feels like something is holding the motor back, and then it clears up. I think I'll put some double platinum plugs in first, as I've still got my copper nitrous plugs in. Then switch wires if that doesn't fix it.

exactly my problem too! My car still missfires at low RPM like between 2500 - 3K and then clears up. I had autolite double platinums first with magnecores and the car ran like a million bucks for the first month, then sh!t went south when all this missfiring started. I changed the plugs again and the missfire was still there. Swapped out to FMS wires and still it missfired..Im at a loss..

when you changed the plugs did you remove the coil pack? If so, did you reattach the grounding strap?

I had this problem too... turned out that the magnacores weren't fully connecting to the autolite tips. The mushy boots would just compress and not go over enough for the 2nd click... even when lubricated. Tried a bunch of times and, after getting pissed, I got some bosch wires.

Today I will continue testing and clean the connections on the Magnecors. If it misfires again, I will try them along with Denso plugs.

Driving today with the Motorcraft wires, I've had zero misfires. I just want to get to the bottom of why my Magnecors were misfiring. Worked fine for about 1 week, then problems started right after.
