Hello everyone! I know there are some experienced CEG forum members out there that have one of those nifty box making programs on their computer. Can anyone suggest a box for my 15" Adire Tempest? A ported box is what im looking for, tuned low so I can get some extra thump out of it. Here are the specs http://www.adireaudio.com/Files/DUMAX/TempestDUMAX.PDFIf someone can give me the dimensions of the box, I could easily assemble it at home. BTW, it is being powered by a Rockford Fosgate Punch360a2 (old school). Thanks!

I'll whip it up, gimme an hour or so, and I'll send you what info on it I can. Alright?

PS
You looking for flat response, or do you want a specific frequency boosted (i.e. 40 hertz)? I'll be able to do more with it with that info.....

Just tune it a little bit lower, 27 hertz or so. A 27 hertz tuning gives you an F3 of 25 hertz, which is a little bit better. Still gives you a gain of 2.25 dB at 37 hertz. Just click that link I sent you, and over on the right is a little box that says tuning. Change it to 27 hertz and there you go. That'll allow you to play without an SSF. Just don't play any pipe organ or heavy techno and you'll be ok.

And in the car, either of them will give you an F3 lower than any music you'll ever play...the predicted F3 is assuming the sub is measured in half space, in a car, the bass response will likely drop down into the single digits.

Very true, I was running on about 2 hours of sleep when I wrote that last one. The 27 hertz tuning, with cabin gain, would provide pretty damn good output and still play fairly flat, not as flat as a sealed, but still pretty nice. Modeled in ISD, it's above reference from about 32 hertz up. It should sound wonderful, IMO.
