Question on Focus SVT brake swap #1559171 04/27/06 01:14 AM

OP cboy2002 Newbie C Joined: Apr 2006 Posts: 4	Hi guys, im from the NECO forums and was told i could get some info on the problem i'm having over here. Last Fall i did the SVT brake swap from the svt focus with a neco member in my chapter and that went well. I decided to replace the rotors and pads recently since i was the third person to have them and they needed to go. I got the parts on monday and ordered bendix CT-3 pads and bendix rotors from Advance Auto Parts. So My question is, the outside brake pads the you can see came with a metal braket on it and i wasn't sure if this replaced the original pin that holds the stock pads on or if i need to remove it? How does this mount on the caliper? Same as stock would mount? Sorry if i sound dumb i just never seen pads like this. I attached pics of the pads so you can see what I mean. However, those do not appear to be Focus SVT pads to me. I would verify that you got the correct pads; those may be for the standard Focus brake calipers. The FSVT pad shape is pretty similar to the stock contour and cougar one, especially around the "ears". Balance is the Key. rarasvt@comcast.net

OP cboy2002 Newbie C Joined: Apr 2006 Posts: 4	Well when i go onto Advance Auto Parts website and look for brake pads, under a 2002 SVT Focus i get these Bendix CT-3 pads. Part #D816CT, does that seem right or did i get the wrong pads?
