Hi guys, im from the NECO forums and was told i could get some info on the problem i'm having over here.

Last Fall i did the SVT brake swap from the svt focus with a neco member in my chapter and that went well. I decided to replace the rotors and pads recently since i was the third person to have them and they needed to go.

I got the parts on monday and ordered bendix CT-3 pads and bendix rotors from Advance Auto Parts.

So My question is, the outside brake pads the you can see came with a metal braket on it and i wasn't sure if this replaced the original pin that holds the stock pads on or if i need to remove it? How does this mount on the caliper? Same as stock would mount? Sorry if i sound dumb i just never seen pads like this.

I attached pics of the pads so you can see what I mean. The part # for the pads is D816CT.

Thnx for any help
David

Here are the pics

The intent of the attached wireform clip is to replace the factory clip. However, those do not appear to be Focus SVT pads to me. I would verify that you got the correct pads; those may be for the standard Focus brake calipers. The FSVT pad shape is pretty similar to the stock contour and cougar one, especially around the "ears".

Well when i go onto Advance Auto Parts website and look for brake pads, under a 2002 SVT Focus i get these Bendix CT-3 pads. Part #D816CT, does that seem right or did i get the wrong pads?

Sorry, kind of off topic but not too bad, in order to do a SVTF brake swap, do you just need the factory brackets, calipers, and rotors? Or do you need to do some fabrication to get the brackets to fit?

And to kind of help you out, it seems like those pads fit the non-SVT so they're probably wrong

Wrong pads. FSVT is a MKD970, and I am not sure if they are available in the CT3's (i.e. not sure if D970CT exists).
