So.... you are saying that the plenum has a use and that all of this time I thought I had power I really didn't? How does that plenum thing work anyway? I always thought that was just some form of restriction.

The resonators are the restriction not the plenum. Read my quotes above.

Doh! Sorry, I didn't check this post 'til tongiht. Yeah, they are 6mm in diameter and 90mm long. Not sure about the thread pitch. Oh well, for future reference for somebody else...

The Plenum doesn't restrict so much as it disturbs the flow of air. It's mainly there to keep a constant supply of air on hand, which a 90-degree bend can't give you.

Even wihtout the the plenum you'll see an increase in power. You'll just get less (if any) down low.
The stock plenum isn't the best design. I'd look for something that has more volume and is more condusive to laminar airflow.
Laminar = least amount of resistence & turbulence

NP Tap worked out good, it's a american brand name car it should have SAE bolts lol

About the plenum, I've been running without it for 5years. It does quite down the engine but does allow for a better take off with it on. However I do mostly intown (well all) and it's a stop sign or traffic light(usally red) at every corner, so in my case it's better, from what I'm seeing so far it looks like better MPG on the gas side of things.

I would say it depends on the power band your looking for, if you want more top end punch (while moving) the highflow with bend is mostlikely best because the air is moving already. If you do lots of stop and go, leaving the plenum on might be your best option.

After putting the plenum back on it reminded me of that stock look... So (never liking that green) went stock look lol minus the battery.

If you want to, just get rid of the air box and put the round cyntrical filter on the end of the MAF sensor.

Later on you can get a GMK extension put on for cold air.

I have a highflow K&N drop'n coming Tuesday. Funny after putting on the new valve cover (having no idea how we did this) didn't notice the big gap around the VCT. So going to work (good thing it's only 4miles) I could smell oil (not burning just a nice fresh oil smell) like someone just dump it into my vent system. Got home after work (didn't bother to lift before work) and look at the old to new valve cover and just drove the seal out (when I relized thats what it was) and drove it into the new cover (gentally) with out haveing to remove anything, but the sparkplug cover. At first it was a WTF but relized it was something easy... But yeah we knew what we where doing...
