I just put in the KN RU3530 and there is like a howling high pitch noise.
Is this supposed to happen??
I am not sure abou thtis so please get back to me?

Sometimes mine gets in a funny mode where it resonates with a loud hum. Blipping the throttle gets it out of that state. Is that what you mean?

Its kind of like a whining noise around 3500 RPMs.... maybe thats just the sucking noise... or is too much air getting in??
I dont have a heatshield yet considering I just put it in...
Is this normal?

Hmmm ... the noise is not really at idle.
I am going to put my heatshield on adn then check for any air leaks...

Mine definately makes more noise, but its not a "bad" noise. You can really hear the induction, though. Kinda addictive, my mpg dropped after the install, cuz I can't keep my foot off the throttle.

It seems like an annoying noise to me, like I said a whine.
I am going to make sure there are no leaks or anything.
What else should I try?

The first time I tightened mine, there was a gap at the bottom of the TB. Make sure it didn't come loose as you were tightening the clamp.
