I was wondering if there is a general consensus on the best plug wires. Both quality, dependibility, and performance. I've seen some say that the Ford Racing 9mm wires have given them some problems, but I would assume the large carrying capacity would result in the best performance. Any consensus on the best wires for the 2.5L Duratec?

Thanks in advance.

David

Magnecore seem to be the best quality and performance wire available. The Ford Racing wires seem to be hit or miss, with more hits than misses. I've had the Ford Racing wires for 3 years and had no problems.

That's what I have. I've had them for about a year and so far they've been just fine.
Ordered them from AJUSA.

So there's no one wire choice that CEG uses and has had the best results with?

I have had my Ford Racing plug wires for about 5 years now and have not had a problem yet.

You have hit the nail on the head, there is no consensus on CEG about plug wires.

I ran Magnecore wires for over 8 years - never failed me. I bought a set of AutoZone wires when I was troubleshooting my engine - man, are they junk. I had to take 2 back because they were made wrong and they are difficult to install in the coil pack because the ends are malformed. The Magnecores popped in and out. Anyone want to buy some used 95 V6 parts? I have an ignition control module and 2 O2 sensors...

I had Bosch for about 100,000kms with no problems.. now I have Ford Racing.. no problems as well..

so there are alot of options.. though Bosch fits perfectly in the stock fittings while the Ford Racing I had to get new brackets and fittings..

cheers
