Ok my brakes squeal everytime I come to a stop
Its from the passenger side but can't tell if its from the front or the rear. I took apart all 4 brakes

- all pads have 50% left & wearing evenly
- sanded each pads lightly
- cleaned all calibers throughly
- lubed all pins
- put brake quiet stuff on the back of each pads

There are still squealing, what you guys suggest I do next?

Have the rotors resurfaced possibly?

Yeah I haven't done that yet
The rotors look to be smooth but will get them resurfaced since nothing else seemed to help.

There should have been some type of shim set behind the original pads & a set that comes with new pads to attach to the backing plate of the pad. Had no trouble with mine since I used a combination of the new & old shims with some anti squeal for good measure.

We put valve grinding compound on the rotor and sometimes it works. Sometimes, brakes just squeal.
I just slapped my pads on the contour, didn't turn the rotors, put anti-squeal on it or anything. And the new pads just had 'built-in' shims. They make no noise. My escort however sounds like the squealers are hitting the rotors multipied by 100.
