So I need to finally replace these upstream O2 sensors. I get onto www.sparkplugs.com and find two part#'s. They are:

Denso OE identical O2 sensor 234-4045 234-4045 FRONT $39.70

Denso OE identical O2 sensor 234-4610 234-4610 REAR $39.56

As you can see, they're labeled front & rear. Does front mean front bank, or upstream O2 sensors? I need the upstreams, as my downstreams are fairly new, and turned off through my tune anyway. Can I assume that I need 2 front sensors?

234-4607 for upstream $56.98 each.

Their part #'s are totally different than sparkplug.com.

Did you try a 2000 Contour? Those #'s look different, because I also checked oxygensensors.com, and they were more expensive by $2 each. Maybe 98's and 00's have different part#'s?

Oops I put in 98 since they should all be the same. Wonder if the connectors changed or something. I guess order the part number that oxygenssenors.com uses for upstream.

Order 2 234-4045.

I just made this mistake. Had to send one back.

That's what I figured. 2 will be shipped out within 8 hours.
