Ok, I read a previous post that perfered the Accel coil over the MSD coil. But recently the MSD coil proves to last longer than the Accel ones. Is there a difference? Are they better than stock?
I bring this up cause I found a decent deal on the MSD coils and wondering if its worth buying, but I'm open to suggestions.
Whats your opinion?

I have a friend selling it to me for $40 and he didn't even use it, its still in the box.
I bought it any way, it will complement with red Ford Racing wires very well. Do they make the car idel(sp?) any better?
Oh, and one more thing, can you paint the top of it to match with the rest of the unit? Its clearish like the stock ford coils.

This may just be me talking outta my ass, but I don't think either coil will really help out performance without the other components of an upgraded ignition, aka chip plugs wires and box. It's kinda like bolting up headers to a stock exhaust. Or driving a V6 Mustang.

It's true about the coil, but even upgrading everything else really won't do much until you need it, such as lots of head work, turbo, etc.
And a header will still add power on a stock exhaust, just not their full potential. The best thing is header and straight pipe... err maybe not on a contour, but it's cool on my escort.

Like Hector said, unless your's is bad, save your money. If you need a new one, get whichever compliments the color scheme you've got under the hood. Accel is yellow (therefore faster) and MSD is red (therefore meaner). It's up to you.

See? I ran the Accel coil straight into a bunch of trees. Yellow = uncontrollably faster than red.
