I'd be down depending on the weekend. With the wedding coming up i'm not sure what I have going on and when, so if one gets planned i'll try and make it!

I'm down for it. As long as it's not M-F 7am-5pm I'm game. I just got my triple gauge pillar too so hopefully I'll have the gauges and get it installed by the weekend.

How about friday evening (28th). I'll just throw it out there and see how everyone feels about it. Also, any suggestions for potential meeting places would be nice. I was thinking Valley Fair since it's well known and spacious. It may be open for business already though.

Hey guys, just moved to the twin cities a few weeks ago. Have yet to attend a Contour chapter meet since buying my Contour to replace my 99 Cougar this past Janurary. Valley Fair for meet location sounds great. Do we have a confirmed head count?

We are pretty close to being organized but not quite ready for friday. Perhaps if we shoot for the following friday (5th) we will have a better turnout. In the interest of actually meeting, I am going to start the list for the 5th for sometime in the late afternoon. Throw down either valleyfair or MOA as your meeting preference and we can decide acordingly by next friday.

Sorry guys, not going to be able to make it. Left the Contour in Caledonia this week to use my father inlaw's truck to move furniture up to my new place. Once I get setteled in the end of this month, it will be alot easier to make it to meets.

So I take it this didn't happen yesterday with no time posted... so are we shooting for this coming Sunday?
If so... here I'll take the initiative:
OPINION 1
When: May 14th, at 4pm*
Where: Mall of America (MOA), top level of the East side parking lot (furthest lot from Cedar Ave./77)
Why: To figure out who all owns a CSVT in Minnesota and is cool enough to show up
OPINION 2
When: May 13th, at 4pm*
Where: Mall of America (MOA), top level of the East side parking lot (furthest lot from Cedar Ave./77)
Why: To figure out who all owns a CSVT in Minnesota and cruise University Ave after we all eat some grub at some restaurant(TBD)
*Assuming no rain and that this time works for most people

Awesome, personally Sunday would be better for me. I get off work at 3pm and I work at the airport so I will be up there anyways. This would be a good opportunity to meet all of ya'll. I hope Sunday works for everyone else. Otherwise, Saturday I am off at 5pm, so ya'll might still be there by the time I make it. I dunno, I have never done this before.

This sounds like it would be a good time, unfortunately I'm busy this weekend. Hopefully there's another one this summer. I'm not from MN but none of the WI meets happen anywhere near where I live.

Yea I',m not sure if I set it up right... although I'm not sure theres many ways to do it, poll start, poll options, poll end. It's the first one I've done so... yea.
Anyway we can do it the old fashion way too.

I could do option one as well if you didnt mind staying at the mall til a lil passed 5 or maybe moving the meet time to around then. I get off the work at 5 and sometimes i get off even a lil earlier and I work at the airport so its not like itll take me long to get there... Come on guys, I wanna play too. Haha. Either Saturday around 5 or option 2, thats what I am available for...up to yall. I would def like to meet up with some of you guys tho.

Alright since it's close to the weekend I'm going to make a final decision.
When: May 13th, at 5pm
Where: Mall of America (MOA), top level of the East side parking lot (furthest lot from Cedar Ave./77)
Why: To figure out who all owns a CSVT in Minnesota and cruise University Ave* after we all eat some grub at some restaurant(TBD-We will make this decision when we meet up)
*Assuming no rain
Major reason behind choosing Sat. I just realized that Sunday is Mothers Day. I'll most likely be heading out to my parents place.
See everyone there.

I'd hit up fishing too, but not with this crap weather. I'd sooner cruise in the rain with my car then fish in it.
Anyhow I don't think anyone will be out cruising on Sat. night down on University Ave, but we can hang out and grab some food anyhow.

So....are the Minnesota meets open to Iowa members? I'd love to be able to get together w/ the Iowa guys...but there's not enough, or we're all too spread out. I'd settle for a few Minnesotans

Doesn't mean I am going to keep them. Just like catching them....and I am "in" with the DNR. I can transfer anything you own (cars, boats, trailers, atv's, snowmobiles)into my name and there is nothing you can do about it.....bwahahahahahahahahahaahhaa. And what else do you expect me to catch on a lake called Bass Lake? LOL.

Where is Bass lake? I killed the bass on the Iron Range last summer but have yet to find a good spot in the metro for the LMB or SMB. I will check the DNR website too.

it is a little lake on highway 4 near biwabik. Not a lot of walleye in it but a decent amount of bass, crappies and northerns.

Reminds me of this sweet old lady who had this sweatshirt which read "Have a Crappie Day"
Also reminds me of a work incident. We used to name our printers after types of fish. Well, one day a group of executives come from the headquarters, and they are all looking puzzed. Finally they ask someone, "why do you call this the Crappie printer?"

Anyone interested in getting a meet together sometime soon? Prolly at the MOA since that seems to be a nice central place that everyone knows about...I would like to meet some more of you fellows. Anywho, let us go ahead and get a list going. Some suggestions on a date would be good too...

Woohoo! That makes three. No...not this weekend. We should plan it so that we can get as many people there as possible...even tho that may not be too many cuz I have no idea how many forum peeps there are around here. Possibly Next weekend? Not neccessarily Sat and Sunday...could be Friday too if that is more convenient. I am open on Friday, Sat after 5p and Sunday before 1:30p. Chime in if you can think of something else...

I hope I get my car finished in time. I have very little free time during the week and my weekends are usually booked. I'm thinking I might take this Friday off to finish up my car. I'm getting tired of driving this 98 Nissan Altima.

Alrighty, seems to be that Friday the 23rd is a good date. So let's set that in stone alright? Good luck on that clutch/flywheel dealie Mike..it'd def be cool if you could make it out. And if you need any help...not that I have any more knowledge than the next person on this matter...let me know, I would be glad to pitch in a hand. Meeting place can be at the MOA East parkinglot, very top if it is sunny and a level down if it is not. What is a good time for everyone? I have no plans all day long and no work...so whatever the general consensus from everyone else shall be the time.

Owesome...so here is the skivvy -
When: Friday the 23rd of June around 5:30pm. Where: MOA East Parkinglot, top level in the back. (Farthest from 77/next to 24th Ave) Why: Because we can.
If the weather isn't so great, then plan on meeting on the next level down from the very top. I hope that we have a semi dec turnout this time around. Maybe we could all catch a bite to eat as well; give everyone a chance to get to know one another and such.
And don't forget your green hat!

Well one other note worth bringing up... lets not forget the delights of Twin Cities traffic on Friday during rush hour. I'm thinking I should be able to get through the crap in an hour or so, but I'm not sure where everyone else is coming from. Just something to think about.

Ah yes...I didn't even think of that. So does everyone agree to moving the meet back like...an hour or so. You guys let me know what ya'll wanna do. I am totally down with it being around 7 or something... I am currently scheduled to work on Friday from 3p-2a and I am frantically trying to get someone to cover my shift. Hopefully I can make it...since I did get this thing together...haha. We will see tho, I will make sure and keep this updated. Peace ya'll

I may just actually be able to make it. I'm coming from Rochester, so luckily I wont have too much city traffic to deal with. What is the final time set for? Now I have to bust a move and clean my ride up, it is hella dirty. Embarassing

Well it's going to be close for me. Currently my car is sitting in the garage with only the new flywheel torqued on to the engine. Work gave me a free day because I busted my butt earlier in the month, so I'm taking tomorrow off. My dad is actually going to come out to my house tomorrow morning around 9am so I am hoping that I will be able to get her done. Plus as an added bonus I think I'm going to get my headers put on throughout this clutch project. So obviously the goal is to get my car finished by 5:30pm and get out to the MOA by 6:30-7pm. You guys better wait up for me! Haha. Well if you guys are going to head somewhere and I haven't arrived shoot me a call and tell me where your heading. (651.983.0002) Thanks. Hopefully I'll cya guys there.

Well...unfortunately I will not be able to make it after all... I decided on the date when I still had Friday's off, but now the schedule changed and I am working Fridays and I was unable to get a shift trade with anyone. Oh well...we should put another one together for July, that would be tight, and I will be sure to be there. Take some pics and put em up on here or something Anyways, hope there is a good turnout tomorrow and everyone has a fun and a safe trip to and from the meet. Peace, Scott

OK so who is actually planning on attending tonight, and at what time?
I am more than willing to make the trip from Rochester if people want to meet, but I don't want to go and not have anyone there.
I believe James said he would be there a little after 6pm.
anyone else?
