I was about to order some headers from Marty today but couldn't get ahold of him. Another CEG'er has offered to sell his to me (unused) for about $200 shipped. He used some 1500* spray on them and baked them (I don't know too much about that)
I'm sure that'll help out for the anti-rusting portion of the headers but probably not the heat. Does anyone know a place around here that would coat the headers for a decent price? I know pole does it, or has a friend that does it. BUT HE DOESNT LIKE TO RETURN MY PM's *wags fist*
Anyways, I'm located in Racine (below Milw.) so, any help is appreciated.
Ok, got some more info on the coating already on them...
its VHT Flamproof ceramic coating. heres what i was told...
"baked at 320 for 20 min, cool for 20min, bake at 450 for 30 min, cool for 30 min, bake at 650 for 1hr, cool for 1 hr"
" when on the car let run for 10 min at idle, let cool for 10 min, then run at idle for 20 min, let cool for 20 min, then your ready to go"
