Situation. Took out all the stereo equipment when I got my buick and threw it all in there. Sold the buick and put it back in the tour. But now the amp for the rear deck speakers is cutting out. I am running a neo mp3 car jukebox (basically 20 gig harddrive with adaptor to control it threw headunit), 1000 watt sony amp, alpine flex 4 amp (that is the one for the rear speakers), 2 sony 1100 watt 10 inch subs, pioneer 6400 cd player, JBL 4 1/2 inch speakers in the rear deck. I have a brand new battary in the car, and it worked in the tour before and in the buick but not now. The power light on the amp is on but then dims and the rear speakers cut out when it is turned up. I think I am running too much power in either the red ignition wires (three going into it--cd player, mp3 player and adaptor for mp3 player) or into the blue wires (the two amps) Any suggestions?

Well without looking at the whole setup it's kinda hard to tell. But to me it sound like a grounding problem or something somewhere is touching somthing that it shouldn't be. I would retrace the wires to ensure that everything is cool. Good luck!

Or you could reset gains/frequencys on the amp and then start from scatch so to speak. Thats what I did when I was having this problem. Don't afraid to start screwing around with stuff, it might work out for ya.
