I'll assume you have sworn a few times getting it out BUT before you replace it I suggest you do this:- Remove the alternator bracket from the cylinder block On the side that is threaded for the bolts drill out the holes for a clearence Get two longer bolts and lock nuts that will pass right throu from the fender side and accept locknuts on what was the original bolt head side Tap back the two sliding(tight!) bushings in the bracket to allow added width when you slide the new alternator in Refit the bracket to the block Slide the new, longer bolts thru from the fender side Place the locknuts on the other side and tighten them up With this mod you will have less issues with removing/changing an alternator in the future.
