I think I blew my diff last night, there is fluid all over and the car does not move. I was wondering what transmissions are compatable with my 98 SVT. Also, which transmissions came with the upgraded shift forks, etc? Could I put a v6 cougar transmission in?

All V6 manuals have the same tranny, regardless whether it's an SVT or a Cougar or a Mystique. The only difference is that there are rod-shift trannies in the early Contours, which would not work in your SVT. All SVT's are cable shift, as are all manuals from 96 onwards.
So yes a Cougar tranny will work.

Thanks guys, I'm goin to take it out and see how bad it really is. I looked underneath, I didn't see any holes, but I did see fluid.
