I know this might sound like a stupid question, but this is concerning removing the romoval of the crankshaft pulley, and I want to be certain.

The Ford CD says do not rotate the crankshaft counterclockwise. Does this mean when facing the front of the engine, do not rotate the crankshaft counterclockwise?

Correct, when facing the crank damper, you rotate the engine clockwise.
