I recently put new tires on the SVT, Goodyear Assurance ConforTread 205/55/16, replacing my Goodyear Eagle F1 225/50/16. Since the change my fuel economy has increased dramaticly. For my first tank I got 637Km on 49L  which is 7.8L/100Km with a 534/103 highway/city split. For my current tank I'm at 305Km with half a tank to go all city driving. This is unreal, I knew that tires could make a difference but this is insane. My previous best ever was 580Km on 53L of fuel 9.1L/100Km all highway driving with my snow tires, the Eagle F1's did a best of 560Km. I should also mention my previous bests were attempted on purpose, this time I wasn't trying to be a fuel miser. I guess if I put my mind to it 700Km would be achievable  .

Thats REALLY REALLY good.. I usually get 450-475.. mostly City.. but last FALL I got 640 km on ALL HIGHWAY... (that was my best)
oh and I LOVE my Goodyear Assurances... they are by far the best Tires on Any car I owned..

The ride is much softer and not nearly as responsive as the Eagle F1's but what do you expect going from a high performance summer tire to an all season tire. It is an unfair comparison but compared to previous all seasons that I have run on my 96 and other cars I would say they are excellent, very quiet as well, I am very happy with them.

crap man thats alot of kms!
best i ever did was 720KM, all on the 401 from home to kingston and back, but usually I get 500-550km km per tank. That would be about 80 percent highway, 20 percent in town. Id love to be gettin 700 a tank since I drive 130 kms a day to work and back!

Best I have done is 730km's on 49L on my Mystique all highway @ 120kmh.

I'm gonna try for 700 this summer. If I can get that from a Duratec I'll be very happy.

what are you guys doing to get that type of fuel milage? i have never gotten near that with the svt...please let me know.....
