I know... I've never asked for an opinion on here before.. but this system is not for me its for a female co-worker..
anybody have experience with eclipse subs.. she likes the looks of the pre-loaded setups (and quite frankly so do I)

this would be powered by a Kicker zx5502 amp..

Can't go wrong with eclipse pretty much like you can't go wrong with strokers

Sounds pretty good. As long as that amp can put out 500watts or close to 500watts at 4ohms on one channel, you should be good.

the amp is not the issue, I've just never messed with Eclipse subs.. I just want to make sure if I put them in the hands of a female audio virgin are there going to be any torn spiders/sorrounds on my hands. I'll set the amp right for her but I just want to make sure that theres enough quality behind these speakers given the cheap price..

I'm not sure of the quality of those subs. I have never heard them before. But if you set the amp up properly there shouldn't be many problems.

I have an eclipse 12" and it sounds great. It has survived my beating on it.

not eclipse's top of the line but should do a good job. That's a good price considering it retails for $399
