I recently bought a set of these off ebay:

TSW Revos

Besides the low price I like that they have a Factory ford offset and hub bore. These were used on a number of saleen foci, as the ad states.

Anyways I went to discount tire this morning to get them mounted up - the tech came out to measure the bolt pattern, and it was ever so *slightly* less than 4x108 - like 4x107.9-something. He said they would not mount the rims unless it was exact.

I called the seller and he said he's heard of this issue before, and reccomended I find a different shop to mount them - said they should not have any problems on a contour.

Has anyone heard of this issue before? There are SO many people running Focus rims on ther Contours - is this the way all ford 4x108 wheels are?

I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong, but the Contour bolt pattern is not EXACTLY 108, it is probably the bolt pattern of your TSW wheels. Whoever is mounting your wheels sounds like a real moron who should not be mounting wheels. If they are balance with the tires...

Just go ahead and mount the sun [censored] yourself

Isn't it 4.25 inches, which is 107.95mm? I can't see the tech being able to measure the bolt pattern with much accuracy without a special tool. 0.05mm is nothing.

Whether they are actually 108 or 107.95, I'm not sure - I went back after work and the manager re-measured with a different tool and said they would fit fine. Basically you guys hit the nail on the head - the guy was a dufus and there is only ONE size for all Contour/Cougar/Focus. Rims are on the car now, all is cool.

We don't have any measuring tool where I work.

It's pretty simple though. Remove stock wheel, place new wheel on studs. If it fits, then.... it fits.

Worst "wheel tech" ever. Why would he even measure. If some guy brings me wheels for the car I'm going to put them on the car. If they don't fit then I would measure to see why. Who measures first? Just put them on the car. I like how all the experts are the biggest tards ever.
