Just got my CSVT back from the body shop, after the unfortunate incident of a couple weeks ago. They had to replace the wheel on the right front. The replacement wheel from Ford is different from the original wheels. It looks very similar except it doesn't have the lip around the outside edge. The body shop checked with Ford and was told that is the replacement and they don't have anything with a lip around the edge. The body shop then got a replacement wheel from a wheel re-manufacturer... same thing, no lip around the outside edge. Now the only problem is, the body shop sent my bent rim to the re-manufacturer for a core. The re-manufacturer is trying to locate my wheel so they can try to fix my rim so they match my others.
The question is... Has anyone else run into this? Every E0 wheel I have seen has the lip around the outside edge. What's going on?

That IS strange. E0 wheels are very rare. Remember they were only put on a 1/2 year of cars. I have never heard of an aftermarket wheel like the E0. Can you post pics?

I'm not aware of any differences either so this is a new one on me.

If it will help in your search, my SVT has a build date of 4/97 and if I understand your question, it has a lip.

You might try some wrecking yards. They usually can come up with a good used wheel that is "insurance grade", or nearly perfect and usually acceptable by an insurance company.
