ok, so ive been reading up about wheel fitments and offset for my csvt and i have come to find out this, i think.

-the higher the offset for a contour the closer to the strut the rim or tire will be, so a offset of 45 is higher and closer to the strut.
-the lower the offset the closer to the fender the rim or tire will be, so a offset of low fortys or high thirtys will be closer to the fender.

is my understanding correct, please help or add anything you know to help me. im just trying to make sure i find a new set of 18s with tires that will fit perfect with no rubbing.

yes thats correct. keep in mind also the wheel width
