I love this job already and it's the first day.  The staff is awesome and alot of fun. After busting my arse at my old job for soo long, I feel sooo lazy working this job even though that just how things work here. No more pressure to get 8 computers repaired in one day while doing a million other things at the same time. I can spend all day on the same thing if I want, and the only person that is going to get mad about it is me. Oh and I put in my request today for the days off for SZ.  These are the 2 laptops I've got from work already. The HP is mine mine, and the PowerBook G4 is "mine" as long as I work for them, but I can do w/e I want with it. It's mostly there for me to train on the Mac interface.

haha .. much like my setup, only my PowerBook is a titanium version and my other laptop is a Toshiba A65 (which I'm trying to sell, shameless plug aside)

Don't worry. I'll get the days off. I just had to put in the request first before making any definite plans. My boss signed off on the request today, so I just need to drop it off to human resources now.

wanna sell me one....? Mine just got stolen at my shop! I probly have the worst luck ever with electronics. I don't just lay them just anywhere either.

Sorry, I'm keeping them. HP was given to me for free as mine to own but it's the only "PC" laptop I own, so I'm keeping it. PowerBook is "mine", but property of the public schools.

Well I spoke too soon. 
Got back my request for the days off, and human resources did not approve the days off.
It said under comments: "Vacation time (2 days) not available until 6 mos. from date of hire."
I'll be talking with my supervisor about this, since he approved it, and he can pull some strings with the director of HR.
