I'm looking for some feedback from anyone that has one of these cd players i just traded an old alpine unit i had for this one and was wondering if it is a pretty decent unit and if anyone has had any problems out of it. Thanks in advance. Again it is the Sony CDX-M8810

I have the CDX-M8800, I'm not sure how much they're different but be forwarned with the motorized face. Its good when new, but eventually it gets that "I'm a robot, doing the robot" movements. It'll still work but just not as fluid. I'm also having problems with it reading music titles, cause I want it to tell me what its playing. Other than that, its a great headunit. You'll have no problem powering those speakers, and it makes a pretty good starting point for putting together a full system. I have my HU hooked into my Sony Changer in the glovecompartment, running 4 speakers(all sony now) and my Subs in the trunk. I personally think Sony is highly UNDERRATED in the these departments, I've seen nothing but good things.
