so i have been hearing about how ppl have their svt trans rebuilt after blowing the diff, i just want to know what are the best-worst parts to use and how much this would cost. also after the rebuild, are these trans pretty much bullit proof? :help:

the quaife just took a big jump in price. I think its $800 for the unit alone iirc. The 3rd gear syncro is pretty prone to going in the 98-00 mtx-75s since the dual blocker was down graded to a single blocker. As long as you replace the stock diff, your pretty much good to go as long as your syncros dont take a crap.

btw, mtx-75 questions belong in the transaxle branch.
