Ok im really angry against UPS, ITS CRAZY, i had a 40$ shipment from spmotorsports and UPS charging me 40.75$ of brokerage fees to have my packages... do im wrong or its sound impossible ??

secondly my package was supposed to be received on the 23 and they received it to my city on the 30 after having sending it 3 time to this little town 8 hours from my place and returning to montreal after every attempt.. because somebody in the process typed a wrong letter on my postal code (C in place of the X who is next to each other on a keyboard, funny hen)

So i finaly inform them of that myself. they said i can ask for a refound for SPmotorsport for the shipping cost of 16$ that i already paid and SP will have to refund me after.

sorry to bother people with that but i need to express my anger about it, can i do something ?? can i get a complete refund if i persist ? can i sue them ?? i dont want ending paying 90$ for a stupid MAF adapt that took more than 2 week to received.....

If the package came from the US, then there is nothign you can do. UPS and Fed/Ex charge insane amount of $$$ for brokerage fees and other processing fees. I and a lot of others had to lear this the hard way. Next time have everything shipped USPS(US Mail), that way there are NO brokerage fees only a small amount of GST and the rates are much lower too. You can try and ask for a refund but since they fulfilled their contract (delived the package, regardless of the date)I'm %99.99 confident that they will not budge. Call this a learning experience.

I guessing from your tone that this is the first time you had anything shipped from the states by UPS or Fed/Ex. years ago I had to pay over $350 to have a supercharger kit shipped ($150 was after it crossed the border). Imagine how pi$$ed I was.

So from now on, if you want to avoid any brokerage or other charges you can either ship it wiht USPS or if you have someone living in the states, have the package shipped there and then pick it up yourself.

Many enquiries I receive from within Canada pertains to why the Canadian prices on our web site are more than just the currency exchange rate. Well, this thread is a perfect example why this is the case.

Let's see, assuming that you just bought a K22M from SP through BAT, our Canadian price is $55.00, add a little bit of shipping to QC, add GST, and it doesn't appear to be all that bad, roughly $70.00, compared to the cost paid to import it yourself from the USA.

It's a lesson earned, and for most situations where we have to import US parts, our prices fair very well compared to customers bringing in parts themselves.

Yes, but you can bring it in for much less under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA)on top of that, if the shipping is by USPS it cost you even less. Not to mention that a business will get the product at a wholesale price and not retail like everyone else.

One can and will save significant amount of money if they don't use UPS or Fed/Ex for shipping.

The only lesson learned here is when shipping a package from the USA, ONLY ship with USPS and no one else.

at least SP gave me the screen gasket for free and charges me just half of the shipping prices cuz they messed up something with my order and they sold my order to somebody else by mistake and they were sold out so i had to wait a week more.

But my only concern is to know whos fault is it about the missaddressing of the package, who typed my postal code wrongly... SP, or the UPS employe who key in the adresse... guess i will never know for sure...

I paid 120$ brokerage fees for 4 tires with UPS 2 years ago... Considering that the bill was initially under 400$, it kinda pissed me off

some people think i am nuts for having my USA import stuff shipped to Buffalo hold for pick up at UPS and then i drive down and pick it up. I learned after the importing of my Koni's a few years back that brokerage hurts.

Whenever possible i get multiple items shipped at the same time so i make it worth the gas and time. I have saved an enormous amount of money over the years doing it this way.

Just picked up my sub frame connectors yesterday at UPS. The staff down there knows me by name now? how ironic since I am a quality manager for Purolator!!!

Don't blame UPS, blame yourself for not search the Eastern boards.
You could've saved yourself $$$$ by searching before buying.
HOW?

Wow, that is a pretty good idea ! I think I'm gonna look for the closest ups store in the states and have them ship my stuff there.

I'm not sure if they still do it with UPS but when I used to order from the states a few years back I discovered that the difference between regular UPS with brokerage and expedited (which had lower brokerage) was only about $10 or $15. I started shipping everything expedited and got it way quicker for only a tiny bit more!

Actually thinking about I'm sure that expedited changed and they started to change double, not sure though.

Now ... postal service all the way. I can wait
