V6/ATX, 122K. Needs....
....a waterpump.
It does have a CEL, but the lack of coolant scares me. Didnt scare me enough to keep me from buying it.

what do you mean? you mean being scared to a buy a car...
it's b/c I have my ONLY space to work on a car occupied with my current Contour build...I can't get any more projects or there are several cars I would have jumped on. Tucson fell through, but I am expecting a transfer soon enough that I don't know if I should even buy a 3rd car (pain to move) SO unless it is a steal...I won't buy it until I know where I will be living.

I mainly was joking with you. Your searching and cant find anything that works for you. Im not looking and they seem to keep popping up. In the last two weeks four of them have ran through. Two were totalled (both willow frosts), one Mystique and my the one I bought.
If my shop space was taken away from me I would be SOL, so I know where you are coming from with the lack of space.

Brought the car home due to me losing my free storage space. Was tinkering with it tonight before the sun completely went down seeing if I could actually make its dull paint shine (which I can). After the sun set I grabbed a gallon of water out of the garage and dumped it into the coolant resivour. I was curious as to where that coolant that fell onto the truck's bed during the first tow was coming from. Looked under and the subframe was already wet on the passenger side and I hadnt spilled. Grabbed the flashlight, found that the lower radiator hose is going to be a real [censored] to change. Also found that it had touched the A/C compressor and had a hole rubbed in it.
If this is the case, return the WP and buy a hose.
Easiest....Profit....Evar!

Changed the lower hose and filled her back up. Took it for a short drive to see what was up. When I pulled in the driveway the fans were on high but the car hadnt started to pull timing yet. Popped the hood and did the ever so accurate touch test. Looks like I still am probably looking at a W/P as the upper radiator hose was dead cold. Ill work on it some more in the morning and find out why.

Thats what I am thinking. If it was functioning like it should, the upper hose should have still been at least warm from the hot water trying to escape the engine.
Could be a huge air bubble too.
