I just wanted to see what aftermarket air filters you guys have tried asside from K & N. I have heard some things about K & N not actually being as great of a performer as other filters out there. If you have links to the products that would help too. Thanks

Anyways, on a Zetec dyno, a K&N drop in was shown to improve horsepower by .3- ie, a complete waste of money.

Let me clarify....this cone filter will actually be going on my cold air intake on my mazda 6. The filter that came with the injen intake is pretty beat up and small. I am looking to replace it....

K&N is probably the best, and everyone knows it.

He's right.
There's been a few thread's debating this very question. It really boils down to just a few filters. K&N and Green rising to the top. It all depends on what you're looking for.
K&N filters are higher a flowing filter than Green. But Green are easier to clean. (so I hear) When cleaning the K&N with a brush it's easy to open large enough holes in the filter allowing particles to get through if youre not careful.
Anyways.. I really like my K&N. A lot. It's the way to go. You can buy a recharging kit which makes cleaning it a lot easier. Go K&N!
