Is it possible to bore a 2.5 to make it a 3.0 or do you have to get a 3.0 block.

if you think you can take a 2.5L and sleeve it, buy rods, pistons, and have the crank rebalanced for cheaper than buying a 3.0L, then go for it.

My understanding is that if you attempt to remove the existing sleeves to install larger ones you will tweek the block and render it useless.

Not a bore large enough to reach 3 liters though. The water jackets are in the way.
